Visit Istria by bus

The needs of international trade and the rapid growth of economy, especially tourism as one of the linchpins of development of the Istria county demand a top quality traffic infrastructure, with special emphasis on road traffic. During the last few years Croatia has constructed a network of modern routes connecting almost the entire country, giving rise to an excellent national and international network of bus lines.

You can use bus lines to reach and city of smaller town faster and at less expense. All major Istrian towns such as Umag, Novigrad, Pula, Poreč, Rovinj and Pazin have many excellent direct connections by bus to the remainder of Croatia, but also with the neighbouring coutries of Slovenia and Italy. Italian cities of Venice and Trieste have direct lines to Pula, while Slovenian Piran, Kopar and Portorož have direct connections to Pula, Poreč and Rovinj.

In all major towns you will find bus stations which are the starting points of bus lines connecting Croatia with Austria, Italy, Hungary, France, Germany, Slovakia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
